I am Daniel (Danie) Murray. I'm married to Bonita and have two children, Amelia (21) and Sias (18). I have a BA and B.Th degree in Theology. I'm a pastor and associated with a Dutch Reformed Congregation in Brackenfell near Cape Town in South Africa.
From 1994 to 2007 we lived and worked in Mozambique under the banner of the Reformed Church (IRM).
After we moved back to South Africa in 2007 we started the “Handevat” (Taking Hands) ministry. "Handevat" is a holistic response to the call for the establishment of the kingdom of God in southern Africa. The work of Taking Hands is focused on the four Northeastern provinces of Mozambique, namely, Zambezia, Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Nampula. Taking Hands partners mainly with the Reformed Church in Mozambique (IRM). As the facilitator of various partnership initiatives between partners churches in South Africa and the IRM, I travel to Mozambique at least four times a year, staying for a month at a time.
