3 Month South Africa 2014

The first 3 month Immersion team of 2014 began their trip in Olievenhoutbosch South Africa. There they served the Olievenhoutbosch Christian School. There they served as teacher aids in the mornings - teaching, marking, making copies, and helping with homework. In the afternoons the team assisted the mentors with the after care programme, Trust Hope Faith. They also spent time building lasting relationships with the mentors.

The team transitioned to Darling, South Africa. There they served with Jeria Sending Church. They assisted the outreach with their morning classes by sharing inspirational lessons and their personal experiences. They helped with the after care programme and the good news club. The members also took part in church services at local farms.

"Today marks the beginning of my second week at Ons Nessie, or the Darling Outreach Foundation.  I am the only one of my team here, as they are all still working with Jeria Sending.  It has been such a sweet, unexpected experience to be on my own here, forming my own relationships and only having Jesus as a crutch to lean on."  - Alex
